1. Controller and contact
The controller responsible for processing personal data is adam medien, owner Eckart Adam, Auf der Scherersmatt 2, 77797 Ohlsbach, Germany. Contact datenschutz@adam-medien.de or telephone +49 7803 9274433.
2. Visiting the website
When you request our pages and files, technically necessary connection data is processed, including your IP address, request time, requested address, response status and browser and device information. This supports delivery, secure operation and error analysis. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the reliable and secure provision of our service.
Locally hosted media and website statistics
Fonts, voice samples, music and product films are delivered from our own domain. Samples load when playback starts. Template search runs locally in your browser; after you click to copy, the selected text is written to your device’s clipboard. The marketing website uses our self-hosted Umami service for website statistics. It does not embed advertising pixels or external video players.
Hosting
We use servers at Hetzner. The application and database run there; production and delivery files are also provided through self-operated object storage and Nextcloud. Google Ads, Umami and session recordings are disabled in the phon.ist generator and studio. Some reference images in the studio load from telefonansagen.de, operated by the same provider, which also involves technically necessary connection data.
3. Contacting us
When you contact us by email or telephone, we process your contact details and the content of your enquiry to respond. Enquiries about our services are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling them under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Generator, previews and project content
When you use the generator or studio, we process your announcement texts, pronunciation instructions, language, voice and music selections, and the resulting audio files and project information. This is necessary to provide the preview or service you requested under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
AI text and speech services
When you request AI text suggestions, text optimisation or translations, the necessary text and context are transmitted through our servers to OpenAI for that function. Simply visiting the marketing website does not trigger this processing. For AI speech generation, the intended text and necessary language settings are transmitted to ElevenLabs. Enter only information needed for the intended announcement. Where processing takes place outside the European Economic Area, applicable legal requirements and transfer safeguards apply, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Browser storage and project links
The application may use technically necessary browser storage to retain settings and work in progress. Project and sharing links may give access to associated content. Share these links only with the intended recipients.
5. Orders and payments
For an order, we process necessary contact, billing and order data, including name, company, email address, billing address, selected services and payment status. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract performance and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR for statutory retention obligations. If you select an online payment offered at checkout, Mollie processes it. Necessary order and payment information is transmitted to the payment service; payment details are handled in its protected payment process.
6. Recipients and retention
Only people and service providers who need access for delivery, handling, technical support or statutory duties receive it. Where required, technical service providers work under a data-processing agreement. When you request an email link to continue, request a callback or place an order, we process the necessary contact data to deliver the requested message and handle your request using the operator’s mail infrastructure.
How long we keep data
We retain personal data for as long as it is needed for its purpose. Enquiries are deleted after completion unless another legal basis remains. Project and production data is retained for fulfilling the order and agreed delivery. Statutory periods apply to documents subject to tax or commercial retention duties. You may ask about data stored for your specific request and its deletion; overriding retention obligations remain applicable.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, especially where you live or work or where the suspected infringement occurred. For questions or to exercise your rights, email datenschutz@adam-medien.de.
